   Manipur’s Hall Of Fame

Mary Kom, often called the "Magnificent Mary," is an iconic Indian boxer from Manipur who has inspired millions with her incredible journey from a small village to global stardom. Born on November 24, 1982, in Kangathei, Manipur, she faced numerous challenges growing up, including financial hardships and societal expectations. Despite these obstacles, Mary Kom’s passion for boxing and relentless determination led her to become a six-time World Amateur Boxing Champion, a feat unmatched by any other female boxer. She also made history by winning a bronze medal at the 2012 London Olympics, becoming the only Indian woman boxer to secure an Olympic medal.
